Review / Reseña SPF Supergoop

Hola! Les dejo mi reseña del protector solar Supergoop, lo ví mucho en las redes y decidí probarlo porque promete efecto mate, cosa que me gusta.

Mis impresiones

El envase es muy práctico y la consistencia es firme, no cremos, así que se puede llevar en el bolso y no se hacen derrames como con otros productos más líquidos. La consistencia al ser firme hay que apretar un poco fuerte el pomito, sobre todo cuando queda menos. En la foto pueden ver la consistencia. Lo bueno es que se puede colocar en dos dedos como en la imagen para calcular correctamente la cantidad necesaria.

Tiene color, pero es muy claro, simplemente para evitar dejar una capa blanca en el rostro, no es el mejor para pieles con fototipo arriba de 3. Y la textura es sedosa, por la presencia de siliconas que son características cuando se hace un producto acabado mate. No tiene aceites, así que es una buena opción para las pieles grasas y quien no guste de brillos típicos que deja el protector solar.

En lo personal no soy tan amiga de las texturas sedosas, pero como tampoco me gustan los brillos de las cremas solares típicas quise probarlo. El color me queda un pelín claro pero es una buena opción cuando quiero unificar el tono del rostro y no usar maquillaje.

Una contra que le encontré es que cerca de los ojos me hace picar un poco, pero aparentemente no es lo más común que suceda. en mi caso muchos protectores solares me producen ese efecto, o me sacan granitos, en este caso no me afectó la piel, porque no tiene aceite,  yo tengo piel mixta grasa.

El precio no es de los más caros pero es un poquito alto sabiendo que hay otras marcas menos costosas.

My Impressions

The packaging is very practical, and the consistency is firm, not creamy, so it’s easy to carry in your bag without worrying about spills, unlike more liquid products. Since the consistency is firm, you need to squeeze the tube a bit harder, especially when there’s less product left. In the photo, you can see the texture. The good thing is that you can place it on two fingers, as shown in the image, to accurately measure the right amount.

It has a tint, but it’s very light—just enough to avoid leaving a white cast on the face. However, it’s not the best for skin tones above phototype 3. The texture is silky due to the presence of silicones, which are typical in products with a matte finish. It’s oil-free, making it a good option for oily skin and for those who don’t like the shine that typical sunscreens leave behind.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of silky textures, but since I also dislike the shine from regular sunscreens, I wanted to give it a try. The tint is slightly light for me, but it’s a good option when I want to even out my skin tone without using makeup.

One downside I found is that it makes my eyes itch a little when applied close to them, but apparently, this isn’t a common issue. Many sunscreens cause this effect on me, or they cause breakouts. In this case, it didn’t affect my skin because it’s oil-free, and I have combination oily skin.

The price isn’t the highest, but it’s a bit steep considering there are more affordable brands out there.
